Two of our residents have very 'contracted limbs', one male and the other female.
Dressing and undressing these residents was very time consuming, taking up to 45mins-1hour each.
For the residents, it is a pain-staking ordeal. Pain relief had be taken prior to their cares to prevent
pain/discomfort. Dress wear was reduced to stretchy tshirts/cardigans...their dignity compromised.
Our residents are now wearing David Lindsays 'Tunstole' day & nightwear... what a difference!
Pain relief has been reviewed and reduced, dressing time has significantly been reduced to 20-30mins
AND their dignity restored. We are recommending these clothes to other residents families because
of their ease,
comfort, quality and as well, they look great on.
